NT loader missing

Postby patrecov » Sat May 30, 2009 9:31 pm

HI,

I have an Aspire 3690 and the NT loader missing after the Symatec technical workers remotely logging to my computer trying to remove trojan vando virus. Do I need a recovery or Boot cd. Some advise in correcting this and getting back my system to work again. I am running Windows XP Media Edtion. The system did not come with any recovery cd.

Thanks,

Pat

G'day Pat,

Are you getting one of the following?

NTLDR is Missing
Press any key to restart

Boot: Couldn't find NTLDR
Please insert another disk

NTLDR is missing
Press Ctrl Alt Del to Restart

and MS Windows does not make any effort to start?
Then we have a disk to fix this problem.

If it is not one of those errors then please let us know.

Hi Mike,

Thanks! Yes that is the error I am getting but I have problems making the download purchase of the NTLDR recovery disk. There is no option to down load the file it goes straight to making a purchase by destination.

Thanks,

Patrick.

G'day Pat,

That is correct, we need to know where you are so that we can apply in the correct tax's.
In your case no tax since you are outside the EU.

Mike.
